Literature Text

I found it ironic how you tried to catch a butterfly with a net less handle, pacing in white ballerina shoes while dancing to the melodious theme song of an unsettling wind,

And I just laughed as you flailed your arms about in an interpretive ritual of instinctive prowess, watching the butterfly’s wings go through your hoop like a lion executing jumps through rings of fire,

But you insisted on playing ringmaster in a bad game of ‘simon says’, and through persuasion, the butterfly would have believed you, if only it detected sincerity in your eyes, but all you did was lead it into a line of caution, like playing chess without thinking while subconsciously moving pieces that left you in your own mistakes,

Check to mate

It was clear that you didn’t know how to play the game, sacrificing your king just to get to the other side in an attempt to win without planning, so while you were only thinking about yourself, I flew away
My mother always used to tell me: "Love is like a butterfly. If you make any sudden movements, it will fly away. But if you confide with patience and sincerity, the butterfly will come to you and land on your shoulder."

(This theory also applies to ulterior motives and genuine honesty. In other words, don't toy with the human heart)
